Synergids, the cells that are part of the egg apparatus along with the egg cell. The pollen germinates on the stigma to form the pollen tube. The pollen tube reaches the egg cell by chemotropism that is the movement shown by the plant structures towards a chemical stimulus. A chemical stimulus is produced by the synergids. This stimulus allows the movement of the pollen tube towards the micropylar end of the ovule through which the pollen tube enters the ovule. Thus the correct answer is option A.
