Assertion statement is incorrect because position of centre of mass of the body depends on the shape and size of the body. For example : Centre of mass of triangular sheet lies at a distance of $\frac{H}{3}$ from base where $H$ is the height of triangular sheet. Whereas, centre of mass of cone lies at a distance of $\frac{H}{4}$ from base where $H$ is the height of cone.
Reason statement is also incorrect because centre of mass of a body lies at its geometric centre only if mass is uniformly distributed on the body.
