At the instant t=0 , the particle is at x=A with phase equal to zero. Let the time taken by the particle to go from A to B be t1 and from B to C be t2.
The displacement equation is given by x=Acoswt
When it is at B i.e x=3A2, 3A2=Acoswt1wt1=π6=30o=θ1
t1=π6w=T12 (asw=2πT)
When it is at C i.e x=A2, A2=Acoswtwt=π3=60o
Thus the angle rotated from going B to C θ2=wt2=60o30o=30o
Thus time taken to move from B to C, t2=π6w=T12
