The expression for the osmotic pressure of solution is π=iCRT
A solution having volume V1L and n moles is at 10oC
The expression for the osmotic pressure becomes, 500760=nv1×0.082×283
The solution is then diluted to V2L and the temperature is raised to 25oC.
The expression for the osmotic pressure of the solution becomes 105.3760=nv2×0.082×298
Equation (i) is divided with equation (ii).
500760105.3760=nv1×0.082×283nv2×0.082×298
Thus (i)(ii)=V2V1=5
The solution is diluted to five times.
