3 x + 5 y = 309, 6x + 2 y = 282
Multiplying the first equation by (-2) and adding to the second equation, we get
-6x - 10y = - 618
6x + 2y = 282
-8y = -336
y = 42
6x + 2 (42) = 282
═> x = 33
