Solution

The correct option is C A and C only
The animals that get their DNA manipulated by insertion of the desired foreign gene in order to get the suitable trait expressed are known as transgenic animals.

It is expensive to synthesise biological products that are required to treat certain human diseases. As a solution, transgenic animals can be made to produce useful pharmaceutical products. This is done by introducing genes which code for a particular product in a transgenic model animal. Medicines for emphysema have already been produced from the transgenic animals. α-1-antitrypsin obtained from the transgenic animals is used to treat emphysema.

Now, similar attempts are being made for the production of pharmaceutical products to treat diseases like phenylketonuria (PKU) and cystic fibrosis.
