The reaction between barium hydroxide and ammonium chloride is an endothermic reaction. Heat is absorbed during endothermic reaction, fall in temperature is observed.
Ba(OH)2 + 2NH4Cl→ BaCl2 + 2NH4OH
This reaction is called double displacement reaction.
