Solution

The correct option is A Peptidoglycan
The cell wall is a protective outer covering of the cell. The bacterial cell contains a high amount of proteins and molecules inside the cell compared to its external environment. Such high amount of proteins and molecules has high turgor pressure. Cell wall protects the cell from high internal turgor pressure. Peptidoglycan provides the cell wall with high rigidity. It also provides the structural integrity to the cell. Peptidoglycan is made of two alternating sugar units as NAG (N-acetylglucosamine) and NAM (N- acetylmuramic acid).
