Solution

The correct option is A

Epithelial, Connective, Muscular, Nervous

Based on the functions they perform, animal tissues can be divided into the four types – Epithelial, Connective, Muscular and Nervous tissues.

The epithelial tissues form the outer covering or lining of the body parts. They are composed of closely packed cells, arranged in flat sheets. Epithelial tissues form the surface of the skin, line the body cavities and cover the internal organs.

Connective tissues are the most abundant tissues in animals. They link and support other tissues or organs of the body. The connective tissues include cartilage, bone, adipose, and blood.

The muscle tissue is made of muscle cells, which combine to form long fibres. Muscles help in locomotion and movement of different body parts.

Nervous tissues control the body's responses to external stimulus.
