Desert animal:

  1. Animals that live in the desert area are known as desert animals. E.g. camel.
  2. Camel is a desert animal. It has various adaptations like a large hump, long tail, stomach, Nostril with flaps, etc to survive in the hot conditions of the desert.

The parts are-

  1. Large hump
  2. Eye with long lashes
  3. Tail
  4. Stomach
  5. Nostrils with flaps

1. Large hump

Large hump that stores food in the form of fat. So that they can survive for a long time without water and food in harsh desert conditions

2. Eye with long lashes

Their eyes have long eyelashes to protect their eyes from dust and sand during dust storms.

3. Long tail

Some camels have long tails and some species have short tails. A long tail helps them to keep pests and flies away from their body.

4. Stomach

Camels usually drink a large quantity of water i.e. up to 40 Liters and it stores in their water cells of the stomach wall for a long period of time

5. Nostrils with flaps

Nostrils have a flap that protects their noses from dust during the dust storm
