Blood consists of two parts - a liquid part and a cellular part. Name these parts and briefly write about them.​

•Blood is a red coloured fluid that consists of two parts:​

1. Plasma-a liquid part​

•Plasma is yellowish in colour.​

•Most of it is water (about 90%) and the remaining 10% consist of dissolved nutrients, proteins, waste products, and hormones.

2. Corpuscles -The cellular part​​

•The corpuscles or blood cells are of 3 types- RBCs, WBCs, and Platelets.​​

• RBCs (erythrocytes) transport oxygen to the different parts of the body.​​

• WBCs (leukocytes) provide immunity to the body.​​

• Platelets (thrombocytes) help in the clotting of blood.
