If you consider ΔACE and ΔBDF,
Given that, distances kids can slide on both the sliders are same.
AE = FB
EC = FD
∠ACE = ∠FDB = 90°(Since the stairs are vertical)
⇒ΔACE and ΔBDF are congruent using RHS congruence criterion
⇒AC = DB = 5 m

The distance AB = AC + CD + DB = 5m + 1m + 5m = 11 m
