Ear ossicles are the three bones(malleus, incus, and stapes) in the middle ear.
They help in sound transmission from the external ear to the internal ear.
The tympanic cavity of the middle ear contains three ear bones (ear ossicles).
Ear ossicles are connected to each other by bonny joints.
Function of ear ossicles:
When sound waves strike the tympanic membrane (eardrum), the vibrations are transmitted through the ossicles- malleus, incus, and stapes, via the oval window to the inner ear.
Hence, the ear ossicles help in sound transmission from the external ear to the internal ear.
