• A song representing the common dreams and aspirations of the citizens is called the national anthem. ‘Jana Gana Mana’ is our national anthem.
• This anthem was written by Rabindranath Tagore in Bengali. The national anthem was originally written in Bengali which was transcribed in Hindi and was accepted by the constituent assembly on 24th January 1950.
• Everyone should stand erect while singing the national anthem. Showing disrespect often means disrespecting one’s own country.
