Following are the steps in the metamorphosis of a frog:
In the breeding season, the male and female frogs come together and the sperms and the eggs are released out in the water where they undergo fertilisation. (1 mark)
The fertilised eggs then hatch into tadpoles which almost look like a fish. (1 mark)
The tadpoles eventually transform into young frogs which have characteristics similar to frogs but still have tails attached to them. (1 mark)
The tail disappears eventually and the young frog now transforms into an adult frog. (1 mark)
