Solution
The respiratory system of the cockroach is made up of a network of tubes called trachea.
These trachea open to the outside through small holes called spiracles present on the lateral sides of the body.
The tracheae inside the body splits into many small tubes which carry oxygen from the air to all the parts of the body.
The carbon dioxide produced is thrown out of the cell and removed via the tracheae and then out through the spiracles.
