Solution

The cost of each coat = Rs. 1500
The total number of coat = 18
The total cost of 18 coat =Rs. 1500 x 18 = Rs. 27000
If Brinda sold them at profit = 6%
The amount received by Brinda = 27000 + 27000 ×6100 = 27000 + 270 × 6 = 27000 + 1620 = Rs. 28620
If customer pay sale tax = 4%
So, cost price with sale tax = 28620 + 4100× 28620 = 28620 + 1144.8 =Rs. 29764.80
Cost price of one coat for customer =29764.818=Rs. 1653.60
Profit earned by Brinda = Rs. 28620 - Rs. 27000 = Rs. 1620
