Let 'x' be the selling price of one lemon
Number of lemon $= 45$
So, total selling price $= 45 x$
Loss $=$ selling price of 3 lemons $= 3 x$
So total cost $= S P + L o s s = 45 x + 3 x = 48 x$
Loss $% = \frac{L o s s}{T o t a l c o s t} \times 100$
$= \frac{3 x}{48 x} \times 100$
$= \frac{3}{48} \times 100$
$= \frac{100}{16}$
$= 6.25 %$
