Profit $\%=20\%$

Profit $\%=\frac{sp-cp}{cp}\times 100$

$\Rightarrow 20=\frac{sp-cp}{cp}\times 100$

$\Rightarrow cp\times \frac{20}{100}=240-cp$

$\Rightarrow \frac{120}{100}cp=240$

$\Rightarrow cp=\frac{240\times 100}{120}=200Rs.$

$sp=272$

Profit $\%=\frac{272-200}{200}\times 100=\frac{72}{2}=36\%$.
