Solution

Ten percent law:

  1. The Ten Percent Law estimates the quantity of energy transferred at each trophic level.
  2. According to this law, only 10% of total energy is stored in the body of the organism during the transfer of energy from one trophic level to another, and this is the only energy that is transported from one trophic level to another.
  3. The remaining 90% of energy is spent on vital physiological activities such as respiration, reproduction, and so on.
  4. As a result, 20,000 J would be present in the first trophic level, based on this its 10%, or 2000J, in the second trophic level, and similarly 200 J in the third.
