Question

Calculate the force of gravitation between two object of masses 80 kg and 120 kg kept at a distance of 10 m of each other.

Open in App
Solution

Newton's law of universal gravitation states that any two bodies in the universe attract each other with a force that is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.

Force of attraction = F=Gm1×m2r2
F=6.67×1011×120×8010×10
F=640.32×1011N.
