Solution

The correct option is A 2.06×1014 s1
For Brackett series in the Hydrogen spectrum,
1λ=RH(1n211n22)
where RH=109677cm1
For Brackett series n1=4 and limiting line n2=
1λ=109677(14212)
λ=16109677 cm = 16109677×100m
Now, the relation between wavelength and frequency is given by c = νλ
where c = speed of light and ν is the frequency of the wavelength.
3×108=ν×16109677×100
On solving, frequency = 2.06×1014s1
