Reaction of formation of acetic acid
ΔH of the reaction is
2C(s)+2H2(g)+O2(g)CH3COOH(I)ΔH=?
from reactions we can see that,
ΔH=2ΔH1+2ΔH2ΔH3
=2×(393.7)+2×(285.8)(873.2)
=1359+873.2
=485.8kJmol1
