Question

Calculate the mass of a lead cylinder which is 10cm long and 3cm in diameter. Take density of lead 11.40gcm3

Open in App
Solution

Density = massvolume

Mass=density×volume

Now , volume of lead cylinder = πr2h

= π(32)210

= 4957 cm3

Therefore , mass of cylinder = 4957 * 11.40 g
= 806.14 g
