Question

Calculate the number of photons emitted in 10 hours by a 60 W sodium lamp emitting radiations of wavelength 6000Ao

Open in App
Solution

E=nhc/λ
λ=6000×1010
h=6.6×1034
E(joule)=watt×second
=60×10×60×60=2160000 J
n=Eλ/hc
after solving we get
n=6.4×1024 photons
