The correct option is A 162
The given figure is made up of following two cuboids.

Volume of a cuboid $= l \times b \times h$

Volume of cuboid 1 $= 9 \times 5 \times 2 = 90 i n^{3}$

In cuboid 2, the length is equal to that of cuboid 1, i.e. 9 inches

Volume of cuboid 2 $= 9 \times 8 \times 1 = 72 i n^{3}$

Thus, the volume of the figure $= 72 + 90 = 162 i n^{3}$
