Suckers are used in artificial vegetative propagation technique.
Suckers grow from the root system or base of the stem of the parent plant.
They start growing from the underground root or stem base of the parent plant and shoots out as suckers.
Then the suckers are detached from the parent plant and transferred to a new area to grow individually.
Suckers grow in bananas, plantains, raspberries, and cherries.
Banana grows by suckers, the new plant always grows from the base of the parent plant.
Further they can be detached from the base of the parent plant and transferred into a new area to grow as a new banana plant.
