Question

Can the direction of motion of the body changes if its velocity is changing at a uniform rate?

Open in App
Solution

  1. A thrown-up body moves under constant retardation and begins to fall downwards from its highest point.
  2. The velocity decreases from its beginning value until it reaches zero at maximum height. Then the direction is changed.
  3. Where Retardation is the opposite of acceleration.

Hence, the direction of motion of the body changes if its velocity is changing at a uniform rate.
