Work done in an isothermal reversible process is given as:
w=nRT lnV2V1
Given: V1=15 m3
V2=30 m3
T=300 K
R=8.3 J K1mol1
W=8.585×103 J
(as work is done by the system)
So,
8.595×103= n×8.3 ×300 × ln2010

On solving we get,
n=5 mol
