Chandragupta II fought war with the Sakas. Chandragupta-II was one of the greatest rulers of Gupta empire. He is also known as Vikramaditya. He ruled from 375 A.D. to 415 A.D. According to traditional accounts, Ramagupta, the elder brother of Chandragupta-II succeeded Samudragupta. Ramagupta attacked the Saka King Rudrasimha III, but he was defeated by the Saka king. Rudrasimha asked Ramagupta to hand over his queen Dhruvswamini. Chandragupta-II killed the Saka king. Later he disposed his brother and killed him and became the king. He also his brother's wife Dhruvswamini. Chandragupta-II later married Kubernaga, a Naga princess.
