Chapter- perimeter and area of plane figures
The perimeter of a rectangle is 51.8m and its length is 16.5m. Find the breadth and the area of the rectangle.

Solution

Length = 16.5m
Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l+b)
51.8 = 2(16.5+b)
b = 51.8/33
b = 1.56m
Area of rectangle = L×B = 16.5×1.56 = 25.74m²
