Solution

The correct option is D 13
Say:
Here, we need to find the number of children in Line 2.

Ask:
How many children are there in Line 1?
Ans: 7

How many more children are there in Line 2 than in Line 1?
Ans: 6
How will we find the number of children in Line 2?
Ans: By adding 6 to the number of children in Line 1.
What is the equation that will be framed?
Ans: 7+6=13

So, how many children are there in Line 2?
Ans: 13

Hence, Option B is correct.

WB: If required, use the whiteboard to represent the number of children in Line 1, and the number of children in Line 2 that are more than the number of children in Line 1 as shown and write the addition equation.

Show how 10 units are grouped together to form 1 rod.

Probing Q. Since there are 7 children in Line 1 and 6 more in Line 2, is it true that Line 2 is shorter than Line 1?
