(A) is correct and R is false
Reproductive and child health care (RCH) has evolved from the family planning program. Since October 1997, the services and interventions under the Family Welfare Program and the Child Survival and Safe Motherhood Program have been integrated with the Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) Program.
Its aims include effective family planning, reducing the total fertility rate (number of children born to each woman), infant mortality rate (number of infant deaths per 1,000 live births) and maternal mortality rate (number of maternal deaths per 100,000 live births), along with improving women, child and adolescent health.
