Reproduction is the process to produce young ones of their own kind. There are two modes of reproduction i.e., asexual and sexual.
In asexual reproduction, single parent is involved and there is no formation and fusion of gametes. As a result, young ones formed are exact copies of their parents and are referred as clones.
Whereas, in sexual reproduction, two parents of opposite sexes are involved. They have reproductive organs i.e., testes (in males) and ovaries (in females) which produces specialised cells called gametes. Gametes fuse to form zygote which eventually develops into a baby.
