(i) Bleaching powder(Calcium hypochlorite) is the odd one. All the others are organic compound and have either insecticidal or pesticidal properties, whereas bleaching powder is inorganic and have bleaching properties and used in water treatments.

(ii)Diptheria is the odd one as it is a bacterial disease. All the other diseases are caused by virus.
