Cilia is produced from:
Centrioles/basal bodies (CBBs) are microtubule-based cylindrical organelles that nucleate the formation of centrosomes, cilia, and flagella. CBBs, cilia, and flagella are ancestral structures; they are present in all major eukaryotic groups. Each centrosome is made up of two Centrioles called diplosomes. Each centriole is a cylindrical structure measuring 200-500 mm in length. The function of these is formation of spindle fibres during cell division in animals and formation of basal bodies which give rise to cilia and flagella.
