Aqueous solution: The solution in which water acts as a solvent, is called an aqueous solution. For example, sugar solution.
Non-aqueous solution: The solution in which any liquid other than water acts as a solvent is called a non-aqueous solution. For example, the solution of sulfur in Carbon disulfide, benzene, ether, etc.
