2. Non-aqueous solution: The solution in which any liquid other than water acts as a solvent is called a non-aqueous solution. For example, the solution of sulfur in Carbon disulfide$\left({\mathrm{CS}}_2\right)$, benzene$\left({\mathrm{C}}_6{\mathrm{H}}_6\right)$, ether, etc.
