Solution

  1. Homogeneous mixtures: A mixture is said to be homogeneous if it has the same composition throughout the sample.
  2. Heterogeneous mixtures: It is a mixture whose composition is not uniform throughout the sample and the constituents can be separated easily.
  3. Sugar solution: It is a homogeneous solution as it has a uniform composition throughout.
  4. Milk: It is a heterogeneous mixture as it has fat dispersed in water non-uniformly.
  5. Blood: It is a heterogeneous mixture as it has a non-uniform composition of cells in plasma.
  6. Iron-sulfur: It is a heterogeneous mixture as the composition in the entire sample is not uniform and they can be easily separated.

Therefore, (a) is a homogeneous mixture while (b), ( c) and (d) are examples of a heterogeneous mixture.
