Classify the following into true solutions and colloidal solutions :
Ink, Salt solution, Starch solution, Blood, Sugar solution
True solution: True solution is a homogenous mixture of two or more substances in which the particle size of the solute is less than 1nm.
Sugar solution and salt solution are examples of a true solution because in these solutions the particles of solute completely dissolve in water and form a clear and transparent homogenous solution.
Colloidal solution: Colloidal solution is a heterogeneous mixture in which one material is suspended in another by microscopically scattered insoluble particles.
Colloidal solution show the Tyndall effect.
Blood, starch, and ink are examples of Colloidal solutions because in these solutions solute particles are not visible to naked eyes but when kept in dark room they show Tyndall Effect.
