Solution

The correct option is A Due to presence of anticolchicine
Colchicine is a toxic chemical that causes polyploidy in the new dividing cells in plants. it does so because it prevents the formation of microtubules and the chromosomes are not divided as they would normally do in the daughter cells. Hence this creates multiple copies of the same chromosomes in a single cell and this condition is known as polyploidy. In polyploidy more than the normal sets of chromosomes are present. The plant remains unaffected because the effect of colchicine is suppressed by some anti colchicine mechanism.
So the correct answer is ' Due to presence of anticolchicine'.
