Question

Column I and Column II contain four entries each. Entries of column I are to be matched with some entries of column II. One or more than one entries of column I may have the matching with the same entries of column II and one entry of column I may have one or more than one matching with entries of column II.

Solution

A) Charging rate means current .i.e dqdt=I
So if charging rate is maximum, current through R also is maximum.
Thus, A1,4
B) Charge on the capacitor is maximum in steady state. i.e dqdt=I=0
Thus, B3
C) Power (P=EI) supplied by the battery is maximum initially because current is maximum initially. At this time, charge on the capacitor is zero. Thus, C3
D) Difference in the power supplied by battery and power consumed in R =EII2R=EII(IR)=EIEI=0
thus, D3
