Compare characteristics of d block elements & f blocks elements

(i) d-block elements range from group 3 to 12 in the centre of the periodic table. These are characterised by the filling of inner d-orbitals by electrons. f block elements comprises of two rows of elements at the bottom of periodic table called lanthanoids and actinoids which are characterised by the outer electronic configuration (n-2)f1-14(n-1)d0-2ns2(ii) In d-block all elements are metals while in f-block lanthanoids are metals while actinoids are radioactive.
