(a) Chlorobenzene reacts with methyl chloride in presence of anhydrous aluminium chloride to give mixture of 1chloro4methylbenzene (major) and 1chloro2methylbenzene (minor)
(b) Ethyl chloride reacts with potassium cyanide to form ethyl cyanide.

(c) A molecule of HI is added to double bond of propene to form 2iodopropane . Addition follows Markownikoff's rule.

(d) In presence of sulphuric acid, ethanol reacts with NaBr to form ethyl bromide.
