  2. It occurs in about every 28days in females.
  3. It is marked by the breakdown of the endometrium lining of the uterus. The lining along with blood vessels gets slashed off and is discharged from the vagina as menstrual flow.
  4. This uterine bleeding is called ‘menstruation'.
  5. It usually lasts for 4-6days.
