Question

Concept of Kinetic energy

Open in App
Solution

Kinetic energy is the energy pocessed by a body due to its motion.

For a body to move need force/we have to do work upon it .this work is developed as kinetic energy in a body.
just like any other energy we can convert this energy to any other form of energy.
Eg:- For instance, a moving car may hit a stationary person and then the kinetic energy of the car gets transferred into the person’s body.

Kinetic energy of a body is directly proportional to mass of the body&square of the velocity of the body. (Experimentally proved case).
K.E =1/2×m×v^2.
