There are three different types of RNA polymerases present in eukaryotic cells and all of them have specific functions related to synthesis of various types of RNA.

RNA polymerase III synthesises tRNA , 5 srRNA, Sn RNA in the nucleolus.

RNA polymerase I synthesises rRNA subunits 28S, 18S in the nucleolus.

RNA polymerase II synthesizes mRNA and hnRNA inside the nucleus.
