Reason: A kidney transplant from an identical twin, called isograft. If kidney is transplanted from other person except twin is called allograft. As no two individuals have same HLA alleles or MHC proteins, except identical twins the person requires immunosuppressant drug like cyclosporin throughout his life. The cell-mediated immune response, the T-cell mediated immunity is responsible for graft rejection and not B-lymphocytes.
