As we have 1 mole of S8

According to reaction, one mole of SO2 produces 8 mles of SO2

Further,

2SO8(g)+O2(g)2SO3(g)

As per the reaction,

No. of moles of SO3 produced by 2 moles of SO2=2 moles

No. of moles of SO3 produced by 8 moles of SO2=8 moles

As we know that,

Wt. of compound=no. of moles×molar mass

Weight of SO3 in 8 moles =8×80=640g[Molar mass of SO3=80g]

Hence, 640 grams of SO3 are produced by 1 mole of S8.
