The Battle of Aberdeen has been fought between the Andamanese tribe and the British forces in 1859. The tribals fought with knives, axes, bows and arrows against a larger and well-armed enemy. While the British suffered hardly any losses, a large number of the Andamanese were annihilated in a single day. It quelled organised resistance from the Andamanese forever, and established the colonial Empire firmly in these remote islands.
