The correct option is C 1:5000
Since the route distance between A and B is 2cm and the representative fraction for the same is 1:5000 on the map, the distance between the same two places in actual is 10,000cm. Similarly, the actual distance between B and C is 5,000cm. So, the distance on the map between A and C via B is 3cm and the actual distance for the same is 15,000cm. Therefore, the representative fraction for the same is ratio between 3 and 15000 which is 1:5000.
Representative fraction is the property of a map. Hence, all distances on a map are expressed through the same representative fractions.
